I had to visit my local landfill the other day, to dump the deck I took out. If you ever wanted motivation to reduce your consumption and your trash output, just sit around at your local landfill for a while. What kind of lessons can we learn from a landfill? Don’t be lazy, think about the materials you use, look out for the little guy, and more.

I can’t stand air fresheners, so I picked up some plants at the local market that will give my kitchen (and house) a wonderful smell without the harsh chemicals. To make this project even better, choose a biodegradable pot!

The Pacific Northwest is no place for a green California lawn, so we’re replacing ours out with something that is easier to maintain, drought resistant, less taxing on resources, and honestly just looks better. This is the first post in our journey.
